We upgraded MariaDB, the database software websites store their content in, to a newer long-term-supported release. Every database was backed up first. Websites were unavailable for a minute or two while the database restarted. s11 was also restarted at 9:39 pm to finish a security update, and was back within 30 seconds. Email was not affected.
